Dear Family,
Well this week has been great, but i have just done so much walking and running around, i am feeling physically tired. With transfers, I stayed which was what i wanted because i love serving the missionaries in the zone as well as the people i teach. i am really excited because Elder Echols, who i trained, is now in my zone which is awesome!! We also had a really good experience where we were walking and we ran into a family, which seemed at the moment to be coincidence. we started to talk with them and helped them carry things to their house and the father ended up being a member, but inactive. He was baptized like 15 years ago and had not talked to the missionaries since and went inactive pretty soon after he was baptized. we started talking to him and he felt the spirit of what we were doing and saying. he just asked us if he could see a hymn book and he looked for the hymns that he could remember and seemed to find joy in doing that. we invited him to church and he is going to come this sunday with his kids. I KNOW IT was not a coincidence that we found him, that is for sure. The Lord loves his children and he was so prepared to have us find him. i think that he was waiting for it.
About the call on Christmas, i was planning on calling you guys at 8 your time on the 25th in the morning so that i can go and work in the afternoon. I will call you guys then because it is cheaper, so if you can have all the missionaries come for breakfast later that would be great. But if you guys want to put the other missionaries in front of your own son, i am totally happy witht that!!!!:) Oh, there was another earthquake here the other day. I felt it but it lasted only like 5 seconds and it was not very strong.
i love this time of year and all the things we do as missionaries to bring the light of Christ into people's lives. but it doesnt matter how long i have been away from home, i still miss doing all of our family traditions and being with you guys! we have made so many great memories together at Christmas and do so many things that center on Christ and family. But i am sure that this next week i will be eating lots of food and that i will gain a lot of weight woo hoo.
We got the news this morning that Elder Cook will be visiting our mission next month. I am super excited about that!!!! i got the package from grandma and punka. please tell them thank you for me. i loved it! i also got something from the Kingstons which i appreciate, so Grandma G, please tell them thank you too. all is well and i love life! i continue to strive to come closer to the lord every day. i love you all!!
Love, Elder George and Elder Walton (My best friend in the mission)
